Product Development – Pipercross

At Pipercross, every new product is developed inside our purpose-built R&D facility, equipped with the latest technology. Using an advanced 3D scanning system, we create high-resolution STL files that serve as the foundation for designing our high-performance intake kits. The versatility of this system allows us to capture even the smallest parts with laser precision as well as entire engine bays with infrared scanning, guaranteeing maximum accuracy across all Pipercross products.


Once the design phase is complete, we move to rapid prototyping with our Stratasys F370 CR 3D printer. This cutting-edge machine enables us to produce high-quality samples quickly, ensuring perfect fitment before mass production begins. With the ability to print in multiple materials – from flexible TPU to carbon fiber-reinforced ABS – we achieve both durability and adaptability for every application.


Before any intake kit reaches the market, it undergoes a strict validation program. Using our in-house flow-testing equipment, we directly measure airflow against the OEM intake system to ensure real performance benefits. Finally, each prototype is tested on a dynamometer (dyno), where we validate the true gains in power and efficiency under real-world conditions.
